Breakfast at Na Chantra in Chiang Mai

Na Chantra is the restaurant of Chantra Khiri Chalet. According to its website, "It is an authentic Thai restaurant that offers a wide selection of both central and Northern Thai dishes using unique signature recipes with quality local ingredients and organic vegetables grown by the resort. The restaurant is in Lanna style blended with elegant chandeliers, antique Portuguese teak doors, colonial-style travel suitcases, giant red carved deer, sofas with vibrant color, and chaise lounges. Guests can watch stunning panoramic views through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows or sip drinks while sitting outdoors nearby the infinity pool." 

A night at Chantra Khiri Chalet is not cheap at all, but since we went to Chiang Mai when finally the Thai government allowed interprovincial travel after about three months of total lockdown, we got a room for a very low price and ended up staying for seven nights. It meant we had free breakfast for a total of six days.

The view of Doi Suthep from the restaurant was indeed stunning especially in the early morning just like it was advertised. The infinity pool also added to its charm.

There was a wide range of food to choose from Thai to Western. Aside from the buffet style, Na Chantra also served a Thai breakfast of your choice and coffee.

Its post-pandemic price is now beyond our usual budget for accommodation, but who knows if they have a discount someday when we plan to go back to Chiang Mai? It would be great to stay at Chantra Khiri Chalet and eat at its restaurant.

If it is within your budget and you want to have a more relaxing time in Chiang Mai, I do recommend staying here. Na Chantra is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM.
